WHO WILL WIN
[Wednesday, July 07, 2010 11:17:47]This season the Sandton touch league, at George Lea Park, 32 teams registered for the Winter season. With a 10 week season and 8 teams per division, 7 round robin games were scheduled to be played over the course of winter.
With some new Premier league teams taking on some older teams, there were some real big surprises. We saw Oldies defeat Crusaders. Nobody saw that one coming and was a huge surprise.
At the moment there are only 4 of the big Sandton 6-down touch teams playing namely Spartans, Crusaders, John Deere and FGM1. Hurricanes and Cobra Kai Dojo are taking a ittle rest to get their energy back for a awesome upcoming Spring season. Spartans look like very strong contenders for the Premier league title having convincely beating everybody that stands in their way. The next couple of weeks is make or brake for teams that wants their hands on the trophy.
